Our Mission
To establish a national standard for restaurant electrical emergency readiness that improves safety, reduces shutdowns, and supports inspection success—without replacing licensed electrical professionals or regulatory authorities.
"REA Authority Certification verifies that a restaurant location maintains ongoing electrical emergency readiness through documented standards, annual review, and continued oversight by the Restaurant Electrical Authority."
**Certification is non-regulatory, time-limited, does not replace required inspections, and may be suspended or
revoked if standards are not maintained. REA does not guarantee inspection success or code compliance.**

Relationship to Certification:
REA certification indicates that a restaurant has received education and implemented readiness procedures aligned with REA standards at the time of review.
**Certification is non-regulatory, time-limited, does not replace required inspections, and may be suspended or
